Design plan overview

     The Design Plan Overview served as a blueprint for developing an e-learning module in Articulate 360, helping organize content, assessments, and learner activities. A key component was the storyboard, which mapped the module’s flow to ensure engagement and progress tracking. 

​

     The plan outlined learner needs, assessment strategies, and development tools, and included a style guide to maintain visual and instructional consistency. It also addressed practical elements like branding, navigation, and overall design to support a cohesive user experience.

 

     Overall, this artifact highlights the value of detailed planning in creating effective, learner-centered e-learning experiences.

Relevance 

     The Design Plan Overview demonstrates my alignment with AECT Standard 1b by effectively using technology to support learning and enhance teaching. I incorporated interactive tools like flip cards, scenarios, and tabs to promote active engagement and deeper understanding.

     These elements created a dynamic, learner-centered experience that aligned with instructional goals. Overall, this artifact highlights my ability to apply technology meaningfully to enhance both engagement and learning outcomes.

Assessment plan used that align with learning objectives to provide engaging practice, formative and summative assessments to strengthen learners content knowledge. 

reflection

     This activity allowed me to step into the role of an instructional designer, developing a complete learning module using principles from E-Learning and the Science of Instruction (Clark & Mayer, 4th ed.). By aligning assessments with learning objectives, I applied effective multimedia learning strategies in a real-world context.

     Feedback from peers and my professor helped refine the module and reinforced best practices in instructional design. The resulting Design Plan Overview now serves as a practical template for future projects, strengthening my skills and guiding my ongoing work in e-learning development.
